I am a 35+ year-old wedding planner that grew up playing sports and is dedicated to staying in shape. Since college, my normal fitness routine consisted of daily running, weight training and classes at the gym. Over the years, I have tried every fitness class from Boot Camp to Pilates, but couldn’t find something that held my interest until I started taking pole fitness classes in the beginning of 2009. I must admit I was very nervous when I walked into the Pole Power Studio for my first class. But I felt immediately at ease when I saw the variety of women in class and quickly became hooked when I realized what an amazing workout I received. In March of 2009, I completed the Instructor Course through the Pole Power Studio and jumped at the chance to begin co-teaching a few months later. I am studying to take my ACE Group Fitness Certification, and am CPR certified. I have attended workshops with Alethea Austin, Jenyne Butterfly, and Sarah Cretal. As an instructor, my goal is to provide a fun exhilarating workout that leaves you feeling strong and sexy. I hope to see you soon!
Kathy
I am a 39 year old mother of three with a degree in Radiation Therapy. As well as working full time as a therapist, I have coached Cheerleading for the past 8 years at various levels. As much as I love cheerleading and working with young girls I didn't feel as though I was getting much of a workout doing so. When Angela opened the studio in Salisbury I decided to give it a try. Within the first few weeks of taking class I fell in love with Pole and the workout it provided. I knew then that I wanted to work towardsbecoming an instructor and teach my new found sport to women of all ages and help them find the "sexy" and strength that I have found! After co- teaching with Angela and the other instructors, I took the approved PoleMoves Instructor Certification course. I am now studying for my ACE Group Fitness Certification and I am CPR certified. I look forward to seeing you soon!
